Special Editions

The Journal of Asia Entrepreneurship and Sustainability (JAES) publishes Special Issues and Special Editions dedicated to emerging themes, contemporary research topics, and selected academic collaborations in the fields of entrepreneurship, sustainability, innovation, business development, and socio-economic studies.

Special Issues may be organized independently by the journal or in collaboration with academic conferences, research groups, universities, or scholarly organizations.

Types of Special Issues

JAES publishes two categories of special publications:

1. Conference-Based Special Editions

These editions include selected papers presented at academic conferences, symposiums, workshops, or seminars aligned with the journal’s scope.

2. Thematic Special Issues

These issues focus on a specific research theme or emerging topic and are open to submissions from the broader academic community. Such issues may be coordinated by guest editors or members of the editorial board.

Editorial Process and Peer Review

All submissions to Special Issues and Special Editions must comply with the journal’s editorial and ethical standards.

  • Every manuscript undergoes peer review according to JAES editorial policies
  • Acceptance is based on academic merit, originality, relevance, and reviewer recommendations
  • Publication in a conference or presentation at an event does not guarantee acceptance
  • Final editorial decisions remain with the Editor-in-Chief and JAES editorial board
  • Guest editors supervise the editorial workflow under the journal’s oversight

Publication Volume

The number of articles published in a Special Issue may vary depending on the quality and number of accepted submissions. Typically, Special Issues contain 10–20 articles; however, larger issues may be published when justified by the scope of the topic, conference participation, or editorial planning.

Guest Editors

JAES may appoint guest editors from:

  • Academic institutions
  • Research organizations
  • Conference scientific committees
  • International scholarly networks

Guest editors are responsible for coordinating submissions and reviews while adhering to the journal’s editorial policies and ethical standards.

Benefits of Special Issues

  • Promotes focused scholarly discussion on emerging topics
  • Enhances collaboration among researchers and institutions
  • Provides visibility for conference and thematic research
  • Encourages international academic participation

Publication and Coordination

The terms of each Special Issue, including timelines, editorial responsibilities, publication format, and review procedures, are agreed upon in advance between JAES and the collaborating organizers or guest editors.
