Article Processing Charges (APC)

The Journal of Asia Entrepreneurship and Sustainability (JAES), published by Asia Academic Press, operates under a fully open-access publishing model. This ensures all published articles are freely accessible worldwide without subscription or paywall restrictions.

To cover the operational costs of high-quality open-access publication—including peer review, editorial processing, digital hosting, and long-term archiving—JAES charges a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC), applicable only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication.

Waiver Policy

JAES is committed to promoting equitable access to publication opportunities for researchers globally. To support authors with limited funding, partial or full APC waivers may be considered under the following conditions:

  • The corresponding author is based in a low-income or lower-middle-income country (as per the World Bank classification)

  • The author does not have access to research grants or institutional funding

  • The waiver request is submitted before or during the review process (not after acceptance)

Waivers are granted at the discretion of the editorial office and based on a transparent review of each request. To apply for a waiver, authors should email a formal request with justification to:

Refund Policy

All APC payments are non-refundable. Once the peer review and publication workflow begins, operational costs are incurred that cannot be reversed. Refunds will not be issued in cases such as:

  • Withdrawal of manuscript after acceptance

  • Change in the journal’s indexing status

  • Third-party evaluations or ranking impacts
