Author Guidelines

About the Journal

The Journal of Asia Entrepreneurship and Sustainability (JAES) (ISSN: 1176-8592) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed academic journal published by Asia Academic Press. It explores the intersections of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and socio-economic development within Asian contexts. The journal welcomes empirical, theoretical, and policy-oriented contributions that provide insights into sustainable innovation, inclusive growth, and regional development.

Submission Categories

JAES accepts the following types of submissions:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

  • Case Studies

  • Policy Papers

  • Short Communications

All manuscripts must present original, unpublished work and must not be under review elsewhere.

Manuscript Formatting Requirements

  • Language: English

  • Word Limit: 5,000 to 8,000 words (excluding references)

  • Document Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)

  • Font & Spacing: Times New Roman, 12 pt, double-spaced

  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • Page Numbers: Bottom right

Manuscript Structure

Each manuscript should include the following sections:

  1. Title Page: Title, Author(s) names, affiliations, ORCID IDs, and contact email

  2. Abstract: 200–250 words with 4–6 keywords

  3. Introduction

  4. Methodology

  5. Results and Discussion

  6. Conclusion and Implications

  7. References (APA 7th Edition)

Tables and figures should be embedded within the text at appropriate positions and numbered sequentially.

Referencing Style

All references must follow APA 7th edition formatting. Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all citations.

Ethical Guidelines

JAES follows high standards of academic ethics. By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  • The submission is original and not plagiarized

  • All authors have contributed significantly

  • Any conflicts of interest are disclosed

  • Ethical approval has been obtained for studies involving human or animal subjects

Plagiarism is checked using industry-standard tools. Submissions with unethical content or misconduct will be rejected.

Peer Review Policy

All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure quality, originality, and relevance. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the field. Authors will receive feedback within 4–6 weeks from submission.

Upon acceptance, authors retain copyright of their work and grant JAES the right to publish under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This allows free access and reuse with appropriate credit.

Open Access Policy

JAES follows a Gold Open Access policy. All published articles are freely accessible without subscription or paywall, promoting global knowledge dissemination and impact.

Publication Charges

JAES operates on an author-pays model to cover editorial and publication costs. Detailed APC (Article Processing Charges) information is available upon request or on the journal website.

Archiving and Preservation

The journal is hosted on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, which ensures long-term archiving through digital preservation infrastructure.
